With more than two decades of experience across healthcare and public health, Tanicka brings a unique blend of clinical insight and population-level expertise. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse and public health program leader, she has led initiatives in chronic disease management, HIV care, mental health, housing services, and wellness education—always with a focus on improving outcomes for underserved and marginalized communities.

Tanicka’s work is informed by both professional training and lived experience. Having personally navigated the challenges of chronic illness, she brings not only knowledge but deep empathy to her coaching and education work. She is known for making complex health information easier to understand, promoting self-advocacy, and providing support that focuses on the whole person—not just their diagnosis.

She is grounded in the belief that health education should be inclusive, accessible, and empowering. Her approach honors each person’s values, culture, and lived experience while helping them take meaningful steps toward better health.

She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, along with a license as a Vocational Nurse and specialized experience in mental health and chronic care education.

Through Empower Health Solutions, Tanicka partners with clinics, nonprofits, and grassroots organizations to expand access to health coaching, chronic illness education, and public health workshops—ensuring that individuals and communities have the tools, knowledge, and support to thrive.

“My mission is to make health education more inclusive, actionable, and approachable—so every person can feel seen, supported, and empowered in their journey.”
